Canvas Transfers
This technique simulates the rich texture and appearance of an original oil painting. Using a chemical process, the image on your print is lifted from the paper and transferred onto a 7 ounce, acrylic-primed, 100% cotton duck canvas. As an added option, you can also have a studio artist apply brush strokes by hand in a light, medium, or heavy coating of clear acrylic paint. Simulating the original brushwork of the art print, the brush strokes will add visual and textural depth to your canvas (it is particularly effective with impressionist images). The print is cropped to the image, and the canvas is stretched onto a custom-cut wooden support frame (called "stretcher bars"). This lightweight, hand-stretched canvas can hang as is, or can accommodate an additional frame, although no glass or protective top is required. Frame Styles - click here for large moulding images
